    how in the world could anyone think that nbc's coverage is anywhere close to fox's? nbc has wally dallenbach in the booth. end of argument. i got to watch about 20 minutes of the race on saturady and saw a comercial ONE LAP and another comercial. Race came back on and I went to take a piss and get a drink. comeback to comercial. figured there must be a caution. nope, no caution, just green flag racing. fuck nbc

    im gonna miss FOX coverage. i hav to agree with u DaveW when u said "i got to watch about 20 minutes of the race on saturady and saw a comercial ONE LAP and another comercial. Benny Parsons is the only thing good at all in the NBC booth. put him with DW and Jeff Hammonds. WOOOOO. talk about yur boogity boogity boogity.

    chuck is all over it. turn on your stereo and listen to MRN. their coverage is stout, and the sound of the race comes in great over 103.7.......

    nbc has adequate camera coverage, but the commentating is trash.

    nothing against genie zelasko, but NBC of FOX needs some hotties to look at covering the race. maybe Jill Arrington covering infield parties or something. :D

    When you have satellite TV & turn the sound down to watch football/hockey/baseball, the game gets totally screwed up.....approx. 1 second delay.........maybe that wouldn't be as big a problem with racing, but it sucks with every other televised sport.

    However, when I'm in the car on raceday, the radio goes straight to 103.7 and their coverage is stout.

    maybe i should clarify. i'm not saying NBC is the greatest thing ever in regards to race coverage. this is not a "thank god NBC is here" thread. its "thank god FOX is gone". however, i can tolerate them, and FOX i cannot. i would like to run DW over with a semi all the while screamin "boogity, boogity, boogity" on my nextel, puffin a winston full-flavor, with budweiser in hand.

    lets start the ABC/ESPN petition for when this contract runs out.

    that was just restrictor plate racing (now with pit stops every 2 laps). the commercials make it entertaining. this week is chicago, so it will suck too.

    anyone that thinks restictor plate racing is racing, is not a real race fan.

    Chris Econimaki
    Bob Jenkins/Larry Nuber together
    Alan Bestwick/Kenny Schrader comments on Fox Mondays
    Ned Jarrett calling Dale's Daytona 500 last lap
    Ken Squire calling Petty/Person Daytona finish
    Ken Squire trying to call Allison/Yarbrough fight
    Buddy Baker (10% - 1 or 2 comments per race is worth keeping him
