He is playing in the Summer league at West Meck. He has been there for several of the games, but I did not realize it was him (never saw a photo) until the announcer said his full name.
He look pretty good with a nice shoot(hit at least 3- 3 pointer) some quickness and moves to the hole. His passing on the run is very good (he had 5 assist in the 2nd half- not sure about the 1st since I did not know it was him). From what I saw, I believe he will def. help us out in the future.

lefty, since you swear you "KNOW" what kind of players Plav and Bennett are. where did you see them play? you call them winners etc, is this from pick up games on campus this summer?

I hope they are studs, but for you to claim you "KNOW" what type of players they are, is sad. You never saw Plav at Vandy in a game, and you never saw Bennet is a game at Michigan. We all hope they are great, but quit your nonsense about how you "KNOW" what kind of players they are when you have NEVER seen them under the lights, in a uniform.

How about, you "hope" or "IMO" or "supposedly" they are gonna be good, like the rest of the board says.

I wish cusaland had posts from last year still up when you swore you "KNEW" how great Butter, Clemmons, Best, Reed, Sager, and Nash were gonna be last year. :dunce: :dunce:

    Metro Knows

What he knows, and what he doesn't know, doesn't bother him. He just makes it up.

Nash was the greatest. He never turned the ball over.

I would also like to see where he said anything about VG being a "problem" last year. Where do you get off, Lefty, prognosticating on what type of players these guys will be?? You're just like the rest of us...hoping they will be what we need. But to say you already know they're the type of players we need is just ridiculous.

Can either play the 1 effectively? You don't know. You can't know, b/c when you watch a pickup game, there's no such thing as a PG. But you probably wouldn't know that...you're probably one of those fans who's never picked up a ball in his life.

Say you hope, say in my opinion, etc, but don't say you know. Because we all know you don't.

Lefty is the one who was singing praises about Chris Sager before last season. All that nonsense about how he would fill right in for Jobey. Well this just in...Sager stinks, and I dont want to hear the mono excuse again, he sucked before he got sick. Now I dont want to offend his sister, so I will add that I met him and he is a very nice kid and seems quite bright so I'm sure his future is bright, but he just isnt a D1 caliber player.

If I am not fully sold by Lefty's evaluation of Plavich, then you will have to excuse me. I am from the school of "Dont sing it, bring it", meaning I want him to show me what he can do, and until then nothing anyone says matters.

And Lefty enough with the VG bashing. You were loving him last season. This just show what a cheerleader you are. Grier transfering is OUR loss, not his, as you would like us to believe.

Sager may not be the next Jobey, but he can defintly contribute on this level. He played at UW-GB and averaged almost 12 a game as a freshman in what is now the Horizon League. I expect him to contribute at times and be a situational player.

    2002,
nobody dislikes sager, quite the contrary. I was just pointing out that every year Lefty says he "knows and has sources" about how good someone will be. Pretty much all those predicitons were wrong on his part from last year, and alot of us don't want to hear how he "knows and trust me" that Bennet and Plav are great players before he has seen a SINGLE game (besides pick ups).

And here is the situation...single digit lead in the closing minutes....Sager to the scorers table in offensive sets to receive the inbounds pass and get fouled because he is the only guy returning that can make free throws.

This is assuming he can pry the ball away from Demon, who in these situations likes to hold the ball just a bit too long, get fouled, then pretend that he was trying to get the ball to Sager. All in an attempt to bump his stats. What a team player.
