    Hey Metro,
when you played ball with Guillen and Akilli Smith, were you in the Carolina League? If you were, you probably played for the Lynchburgh Hillcats. Right? If that's the case, I saw your old team beat up on my beloved Wilmington Blue Rocks last week.

If this is all incorrect, I apologize in advance.

    coffee,
I played with Guillen and Akili in Erie, Pa. I then played again with Guillen the next year in Lynchburg where he was the MVP of the league. Adrew Jones was also there that year. Yes we played the Blue Rocks quite often........I told yall Guillen could play, he is just a jerk, at least then.

I heard him interviewed the other night after he homered to beat the Pirates......left me thinking that he's going to be one of those guys that have a great season the year his contract is up and then does nothing after that.

IMO he sounds like a jerk..............but I'm glad he's picked Cinti. to have his career season.

Wow, Metro, that's pretty wild! I probably have scorecards from your games depending on the years you played. Next time that I go home I'll look em up and see if you're on there.

I'm not sure if you have been following the Hillcats, but they have an awesome pitcher named Ian Oquendo. One of the games that I was at ts past week, he struck out 12 Blue Rocks in 7 innings. He reminded me and my friend of Pedro a lot with his delivery and lack of size. It wouldn't surprise me if we see him in the bigs in a few years.

another semi famous person on my 96 team in Aurgusta was Mark Farris, starting QB at Texas AM for 3 years, and Jason Johnson (current starter for O's)
