fine, to the topic then. why in the hell would the acc want charlotte. This is obviously a move to have more football power. So, there's nothing wrong with asking who charlotte is in this conversation because they don't have a football team.

The issue at hand is many people growing up in North Carolina follow the ACC like it is professional sports, because for such a long time that is the only sports the area had.

Being from the Northeast I couldn't comprehend this, I would get in arguments on a regular basis with fellow UNCC students who pulled for other schools over UNCC.

I just find it more enjoyable to root for a team I am for the most part a part of. That is basically impossible in pro sports, but in college it is possible. One of my best friends from home went to UNCW for college; guess what college team he pulls for the most and his favorite...UNCW. I take pride in MY University, when you attend a college and pull for a team and go to all their games you feel as a part of it and that is why I want UNCC to succeed more than any other sport team I root for.

I was once asked which of all my teams I would want to win the championship the most and I said MY SCHOOL (even over the Jets and anyone who follows football knows how long its been for them.)

Bottom line...If fellow UNCC grads want to root for other schools before UNCC, that is their FAULT.
