I went to the Charlotte web page and found your name listed as the MVP of baseball and used it as my signature to pay tribute to you.

And what do you do?

Real, all bullshittin' aside, to say Calipari is all that is wrong with college basketball/sports would be less than accurate.

Remember we have $EC teams who have come into town and paid megabucks for players ($200K for Albert Means still amazes me).

Cal is slick, no doubt about it. Slick like that "other" Gordon who made the pass while racing back to the line under caution. He knows the rules.

I can see why Charlotte hates Cal. The remarks he made about Memphis deserving the bid over Charlotte was like farting out loud at a funeral. Charlotte beat us heads up and thus earned the right, IMO.

I have always been envious of a team that had a coach that was a little bit on the edge, was always in the game and working the refs and his players were willing to fight hard for, like Huggins' teams.

But I always hated Huggins because he beat us in a manner that made me hate him.

We finally beat Cincinnati this year and all Memphis fans saw a different side of Huggins when he appeared on Cal's weekly coaches show. Apparently they are good friends and Cal has appeared, as the loser, on Huggy's show in the past and the favor was returned.

When you think about it, Cal is who brought us together in such a loving way.

You may or may not be bigger than Metro, but I promise you won't dig into the box with too much comfort. And if you do, be ready for a ringing sound in your earhole.
