I dont' remember where I read it, seems like a cusatalk link from the Denverpost, but I saw that Rod was working out hard in San Diego with other players his agent represents. He was doing everything he can to get in shape so he could get another contract during this coming season. Seems like he was working daily with a running coach.

Hopefully he's working with a defensive coach, as well.

I agree 49erpi, but there are still many on these boards holding out hope. We'll just have to see...

Some of you guys are so comical. The guy will not be playing in Europe in a year, where you come up with these ideas is beyond me. The guy averaged almost 10 points a game on a team that had only 1 legit scoring threat. He is learning a new position and having to guard guys quicker than him, but so far he seems to be adjusting well and there are high hopes for him in Denver.

I really don't understand why so many of you guys are so bitter about him. He never says anything derogatory about the program, he comes across as a good guy, doesn't get into trouble...What's the problem??? I wish him all the luck and think he will make an impact this season.

Rodney has a trump card IMO, and at risk of sounding Rah-Rah, his height makes him versatile. What is he? 6-8? He can play the 2, 3, and 4 and has a good handle on the ball. He can post and shoot and rebound. He cannot make plays of the dribble or play good D, imo though. But he is damn quick for a big guy. Even if he is never a full time starter, I think he can survive in the league with his height and versatility. I still think you guys are expecting too much out of someone who should be a senior in college this coming year.

I'll be the first to admit it. I'm bitter. But, at the same time, I just feel like he used us. His comments about doing all there was to do in college basketball came across as a blatant slap in the face to our program.

If he would have done all he could do, we would have been cutting down the nets. Instead, he was only thinking of himself, an attitude that would seemingly be well tailored to the NBA but apparently not.

It seems as though he's FINALLY learning that basketball is a team game. Sadly for us Niner fans, it's a few years too late.

Ok, if you feel that strongly about the team game issue, then why do you have Vincent Grier as your avatar?

He's an incredible talent who has as much to learn as Rodney did. He'd be in the draft next season if he were taller.

You must not have gone to any games last year. Vince Grier was the most team-oriented player I saw on the court. He never got into any one-on-one situations, as has been stated on the boards. He was always looking to the bench for instruction when he was in the game. He was always into the huddle during TO's even when he wasn't in the game (meanwhile players like Nash who were in the game were staring into space).

Vince Grier was the number one team guy I saw last year. Maybe he would leave if he would be drafted, but I know for a fact what I saw last year. All he wants to do is get better. He never deviated from our offense when he was in the game last year.

That's ludicrous to even think that. I can stil picture him setting screens, coming off screens for that alley-oop, and running baselines trying like hell to get an offensive rebound. He's not as talented as White, but is WAY more of a team player.
