I made a comment about the post and my reasoning is that Bobblin made it sound like Plavich was drinking heavily. I have no problem with a player drinking I'm sure a lot of them do it but my thing is these guys are the most visible people representing our university. I would hate to see one of our players end up like the guy from Duke passed out at a Carolina party. Or another Kerry Collins getting arrested for DWI. I think our players need to exercise caution and use good judment when they are out and about.

Reminds me of a story. I was in Chapel Hill at a club one night, and since I know athletes I had cranberry juice just in case someone was looking at could link me to an athlete in one of my classes. But anyway, Christian Laettner, Thomas Hill, Bobby Hurley and Marty Clark stroll in and three quarters of the Carolina football team was there and Laettner was popping off to them about something and those guys got surrounded pretty quickly. The looks on Clark and Hurley's faces were priceless... not to mention the puddle that was forming at their feet. I think they all should have been expelled. They many have won the title that year but they really embarrassed Duke that night.

    What a bunch of hypocrites.

As is pertains to laetner - what do you mean that night? He was an embarassment for 4 years. Yes - he was a great college player, but he was such a punk ass piece of shit that he was one of the few players I have ever actually hoped would get seriously hurt.

    Re: HighPoints Back

Yes Al, my work consisted of driving from Cherry Grove back to High Point. I'll actually work Thursday and just sit in the office Friday before taking next week off too. My body is not what it used to be, I'm fried inside and out. It was simply too hot on the beach but the boys and I had a few good days there. Now I have to recuperate for the TBR parties.

The sales manager where I worked at the time mr christian played would just go on and on about how great he and duke were. I replied to him one day that I will always remember him for stomping on an opposing player's head while he was on the ground. Piece of shit, indeed.
