i like upbeat stuff, generally speaking, but i caould go for something new.

i've been listening to a lot of jason nevin remixes lately -- the one of rakim rules.

also, i just heard a white stripes song. sounded interesting enough and i know they got a lot of hype.

    suggestions?

hmmm, i still have to think, lar. i dont really know what you like. off the top of my head:

something jazzy/poppy: "hellelujah i love her so" maceo parker or "one fine day" by nathalie merchant
    :mushy:

something metal/punk: godsmack's "whatever" or rancid's "sheena is a punk rocker"

country: "these days" or "i'm movin on" rascal flatts

    brb...i gotta check my cd's.

Hmmmm, let's see. Download the new AFI cd "Sing the Sorrow." It's not very punk and a little more commercial. It's really good though. Make sure you get the song "Girls not Grey."

Try Distillers as well. Good stuff. Rancid has a new one coming out this summer. I bet it will kick ass.

And always, go after all the Flogging Molly you can handle. Fab.

Music doesn't get more upbeat than Reel Big Fish -- basically ska with an American rock edge. Try anything from the "Why Do They Rock So Hard?" CD:

    Somebody Hates Me
    Brand New Song
    She's Famous Now
    Thank You For Not Moshing
I Want Your Girlfriend To Be My Girlfriend Too
    Big Star

And a rare song that I can only find on Kazaa: Kiss Me Deadly
