This had to be one of the weirdest, most fucked up movies I've ever seen. I left the movie completly disturbed.. My girlfriend is still not over the fact that we went to see this movie. she actually hit me in the face one time when she jumped, she said she didn't mean to.. I wonder... It was gory. It was creepy.. Started out campy then took a weird twist. Rob's (Zombie) girlfriend plays one of the sexiest most annoying parts I've ever seen. Very disturbing.... I recomend that everyone go and see this movie. It truely is a "horror" movie.. It was pretty fucking good!!

I know Rob had some problems getting it released due to the gore. I think like 2 or 3 studios ended up dropping it. So I was hoping it was extra fucked up. Sounds like it might be.

    In a word, BRILLIANT.

House of 1000 Corpses is bar none the best horror movie made since In the Mouth of Madness.

I just got back from watching it with my buddy and his wife. He and I are jaded horror fans disgusted with the weak, diluted bullshit passing itself off as horror over the last decade or so. Both of us were amazed and delighted, filled with hope for the future of the genre.

The theater we watched the movie in was filled to about 90% capacity. During the show no less than five or six groups of people got up and walked out. Guess they were expecting Urban Legend or Signs or, God forbid, Valentine. This is a true horror movie made by a true horror fan, and it's intended to actually scare people. What a concept.

This movie does not have a "young, hip cast," but it does have some hot chicks, and the movie has great performances all around. It does not have a "sizzling soundtrack by today's hottest artists," but the music is wicked and perfectly appropriate. No overhyped actors, no overpriced computer animation, no super-slick production values. Just stylish camera work, amazing texture, awesome sets and costumes, a warped, surreal sensibility, and an unapologetic glee in its horrible decadence.

I'm sure a lot of the bailers will complain to the theatre about showing this movie. Well, I'm going up there tomorrow to thank the manager for showing this movie, and assure him or her that I and others like me will continue to support theaters that make cutting-edge films like this available to view on the big screen.

Fuck all pansies. Fuck all naysayers. House of 1000 Corpses is just the kick in the ass the horror genre needs. This movie will find a revered place in my DVD collection the minute it becomes available. All hail Rob Zombie!! :notworthy: :bird4:

KEEP IT HEAVY!! :singer: :guitar: :drums:

This one is definitely on the fast track to cult classic. I think this is my favorite movie so far this year. Even though the movie was edited a bit to appease the censors, I'm still amazed(and deeply pleased) that such a subversive flick actually got a theatrical release.

I, for one, will be in line next year when Zombie's Corpses 2 hits the screen, supposedly picking up right where the first leaves off.
