I have the Bellsouth DSL and have 2 computers hooked together sharing the same incoming line. No problems for months. I have been told I can access files from one PC to another. I have my burner upstairs and songs on downstairs that I want to burn upstairs. I have tried to access the computer but I get a message that states something about microsoft and needing to disable something on my computer. Is anyone else using DSL and can share files between PC's in a home network?

What's the medium between the two computers?

Yes, I have Verizon DSL with a D-Link DI-704 Router for two computers & Xbox live.

It sounds like you might have some conflicting network protocols on your PC.

We need the exact error message. I assume you have the two computers connected to the router provided by BellSouth.
