If it matters to you, take it up with the admins on the site. They have let numerous posters back on the site. With all due respect, it makes no difference to me.

BTW, I'm sure there is a legit reason why you couldn't participate. Many who shared IP addresses with some of the trouble makers were shut out when the IP addresses were blocked. Thats old news and I'm not going to rehash it. Bottom line is if you wanted back on, you probably could. Seems like you have a nice enough board here anyway.

As far as handling the truth, not many of us were being honest. We were all pretty defensive. It was an ugly fight and pissing match that brought out the worse in many including me. If some of you were telling the truth, it's the way it might have been said. I'm glad that pissing back and forth is over.

Silas, Silas Jr. and Donewald need to go. Brian Hill needs to take over the reigns. Silas Jr. and Donewald aren't qualified to be on the bench. They say that people who are insecure surround themselves with people who aren't threats to them. Hill was the orgainzations hire, so I can't slam him. He is a proven coach. Silas has made excuses all year. For the sake of not boring you with stats, I broke down the Hornets performance with and without Baron Davis. Believe it or not, the Hornets perform better withouth him stat wise. They still lose. Paul keeps blaming it all on Baron being out, but the team was still losing when Baron was playing. Paul hasn't done a good job of handling adversity. He is a defeated man. I don't dislike him, but his time here has come to an end. It's best for him, his son and Donewald to move on. Paul's exucse making has filtered down to the team too. They need a new voice and fresh leader. He is no longer the coach for this team. I'm tired of his excuse making. It's no longer a slump. This teams losing and excuse making is a pattern.

Elden hasn't even gotten into game shape yet. Tonight we play game 50 of a 82 game schedule and Campbell is still not ready to play. He is an underachiever in New Orleans. I know he was hurt and is getting old, but it's just over. Time to cut bait.

Baron, before the knee injury, wasn't aggressive enough. His shot selection was poor and he refused to penetrate. He was finally starting to play well when he hurt his knee.

Lynch didn't want to play here. I'm not disappointed with his play, but think we should move him if we can get an athletic player at any position.

Traylor, Drew, and Haston are wasted spots on the roster. These three and Elden combine for 4 dead spots on the roster.

I'm disappointed with the front office too. They knew they had put the heat on Silas by not renewing his contract in the summer. He had to win big to get a new deal. The pressure ate him up. Thats not what bothers me though. They didn't get him the horses he needed. Does Bass know what a PG is? Other than an injured BD, the Hornets started the season with no other option at PG. Now we are desperate and picking up players off the scrap heap and starting DW at PG which is not his position.

That enough for ya? Thats the short version. In spite of all this, it's a pleasure to support and follow this team. I have been fortunate enough to meet most of the owners, players, coaches and broadcasters. Overall, it's a solid group of citizens from top to bottom. The problem is that the team is having problems I don't think they can overcome on the floor and changes are needed IMO.

i dont think silas would tank it. but, i have to agree with Harvey here- silas, going back to my Charlotte Hornets memory, accepted mediocrity and "getting by" too much for my liking. yes, he almost took us to the ECF in 2001, but what spurred the hot finish to the end of the season?? Silas ripped into his players after a loss to the Suns- calling them soft as tissue paper. The players responded, won the final 4 games of the regular season, swept the heat, and pushed the bucks to 7 games and could've wrapped up the series in game 6 (we gave up a 15 pt lead). More often than not, silas accepted just getting by- we'll be ok was his mantra.

however, i do gotta give silas a lot of credit for his handling of players while in charlotte: eddie jones, derrick coleman, anthony mason, lee nailon, eddie robinson. all these players flourished under him, and if they didnt follow his rules- they were dealt (ie derrick coleman). He put up with the relocation saga, an abandoning ownership group that made him answer all the questions (which he was really upset about), and a dwindling fan base. maybe silas is burned out? maybe he needs a new scenery?

i would love for him to come back to charlotte, personally.

No I don't. He bought an incredible house here. That proves he wants to be here. I don't think anyone who wanted to be elsewhere would root themselves as deeply as he has. I know many will say he is just being PC, but Silas has said numerous times that he wants to retire here. I believe him and some of my friends in the organization have said he wants to be here also. I do think he is a fine person and a change of scenery might help him and us. The team has really rebounded the past 2 games and seem to be playing to save Silas' butt. It has been rumored here that Silas would have been gone had they gone into the All-Star break .500 or below. From what I'm hearing, it was a pretty solid rumor too. As much as I have problems with his approach and this sub par Xs andOs coaching, I'd love to see him turn it around and make a serious run. Anything less than a trip to the EC Finals (and a good showing if not a win) will cost him his job IMO. The Hornets looked as good as I've seen them this year against the Kings tonight. It was a great game. I just have my doubts that Paul can sustain this kind of effort and results...

BTW, if Silas does leave New Orleans, I don't think it's a slam dunk that he will end up in CLT. From what I'm hearing, the Hawks would love to have him.

That AWFUL coach took an idiot (Penny Hardaway) and a very raw Shaq to the finals...
