Can anyone give me any advice regarding a purchase of a portable MP3 player? I am looking for at least 128mb memory, but have been eyeing the 20gb Archos Jukebox. I am worried however that the 20gb unit will be too large for me to carry while i run.

Also, what MP3 download websites offer the best selection of music and other media?

thanks for the input guys. the Archos is a little bigger than the others...but the features are killer. home and car stereo hookups as well as supporting more than MP3 media...on top of being able to house about 300 hours of music on the thing. at 3.2" by 4.5", it is about the same size as a CD player would be. but, lugging that thing around during a 20 mile marathon training run may be a bit taxing.

LarryD, i know the Samsung you are talking about. it is tiny...and the armstrap is enticing. still, i am torn between the Archos, the Samsung Yeppsport, the Samsung YP-700, and the IRiver 256mb.

i have looked at Kazaa...and for the life of me can not figure out how it works. any insight Lex?

ive got one of those cheapo tapes that has a headphone jack attatched to it that i can put into my car tape player and hook it to my headphone out jack on the mp3 player -- comes through perfectly and only costs a few bucks.

How much do those units cost? I might be interested in getting one if the price is right.

Yep, that's me. Thanks, Lex. :mushy: Nice to get a compliment from someone besides Fred, if ya know what I mean. :wink2:

Dang, but those things are expensive. I think I saw a personal CD player that reads mp3's for about $65 somewhere. That's prolly what I'll end up with.
