Jones is not only 305 pounds, he's also only six feet tall. So he's stout I guess, which is kind of what you want in a Nose Tackle. My concern with him is that he's 30 years old. If you want a short, fat nose tackle, I think Bravvion Roy is available somewhere. He was something like 330 pounds IIRC.

I don't know that the free agent class this year is great for defensive linemen, but we should go after Sweat from Philly. I wouldn't mind taking a shot at getting Dayo Odeyingbo from the Colts either, he could play a 4-3 DE if necessary.

In the interior, I like BJ Hill in Cincy. Milton Williams from Philly or the Lions' Levi Onwuzurike would be good gets also, but none of these guys is a pure Nose Tackle, so that's going to be a need even if we signed Jones. My draft crush there is Deone Walker of Kentucky. The dude is 6'6" and weighs in the neighborhood of 350 lbs. He should be around when we pick in the second, and could potentially fall to our third. Kenneth Grant from Michigan would be great but he's only in the conversation if we trade down to the middle of the first. Others to keep an eye on are CJ West from Indiana and Nazir Stackhouse from Georgia--both of these guys should be available late.

Just about all defense, but I have a draft crush on Dylan Sampson and getting him in the late fifth is a steal...

Which "big boards" do you trust?

Most change quite a bit after the combine

I use nflmockdraftdatabase.com and nfldraftbuzz.com mostly. I don't follow either strictly, but they're decent IMO.

As we discussed, the value is not their in the QB's, but will the QB crazy teams actually do something this crazy? Further, will the Panthers pass on the big DT from Michigan?

I've been on the "the team needs a dominant WR" since... 2019? Its very hard to win without a great receiving threat even Mahomes has had Kelce when his WRs were bad last season. Is bryce good enough to win without one? even if you're a believer thats a pretty big leap. Isn't brown going to help fix the D anyways?
