The Fight'n Phils are currently 29-13 and in first place.
The thing is that in their first 42 games they have only played one team with a winning record, the Bravos.

My Phillies are en fuego. Unbelievable even without Trea Turner. Ranger Suarez ought to be in strong consideration for the All Star starting job

    Yep, the Bravos are struggling.

    Typical Marlins move:

"The final dominoes fell on Wednesday. Rather, they came crashing all at once. According to Craig Mish of the Miami Herald, the Marlins informed Schumaker's entire coaching staff that none of them will return next year.

According to Mish, "There are a couple exceptions who were informed there is interest to be brought back, potentially with whoever is hired as Manager. Obviously, they could opt to pursue other opportunities."

Schumaker won the 2023 NL Manager of the Year after leading the team to a surprise playoff berth. But he was reportedly upset when general manager Kim Ng, who hired Schumaker in Oct. 2022, resigned rather than stay on as a subordinate in the team's baseball operations department."

The Phils and the Bravos are both sitting on the losers' couch watching the playoffs.

It used to be that the Yankees and Steinbrenner bought up all the players.

    Now it is the Dodgers.

MLB needs a cap, the luxury tax is nothing, they just pay it and go on
