    1) Patriots
You won't win right away, but they have plenty of cap space and the QB is promising. Clean slate.

    **2) Dallas (maybe?)
I'm calling it an opening until they commit to McCarthy. Jerry is a pain in the ass, but it's a good roster.

    3) Chicago

Decent roster. Williams was vastly overrated, but there's enough there to be a 10 year starter. The holdover GM and team President seem to be in a power struggle, though. Not a great starting point.

    Big dropoff

    4) Saints

This is probably your easiest pathway to the playoffs given the division, and Bensen doesn't meddle, but the GM keeps maxing out the credit card. You're fucked if anyone gets hurt.

    5) Raiders

Expectations being rock bottom might be a silver lining, but you're staring at a retread QB and a dysfunctional ownership structure. Bowers is awesome, though.

    6) Jets

Similar to the Raiders with low expectations, but no Bowers and the ownership is even more fucked up.

    7) Jaguars

Baalke is a non-starter. Nope. Much better roster than the previous three options, but you can't work with that fuckup.

    Am I forgetting any teams?

Pats- if you've got the brains you have a chance to be a marvin lewis like overhauler. but coach-GMs are less common for a reason. Good news is buffalo is the only division competitor with a brain

Raiders- Rough division. not much talent. ownership worries me less than Telesco at GM. Apparently if Brady buys in you might get a pretty long leash.

Dallas- the window is closing and jerry won't let you rebuild. perfect situation for Gruden if he actually wants back in.

Jaguars- like you said GM sucks. you're also stuck at QB with a guy that has shown good but never quite given you the WOW plays. I don't think there's anymore growth there. out side of that the Roster is also missing top end talent.

Bears- I don't trust the guy buying the groceries at all. OL is a mess, defense was probably made to look better by Flus than it is. Avoid it unless you want to retire on 'one last job'

Saints- another short termer as how whoever is there when they bite the cap bullet is unlikely to survive unless they start it this season. and you would need ownership to not Culley you. but i don't think they're even looking to start the cleanup.

Jets-A 7 win roster thinks they're a 4 loss roster. you can't build anything with such a divorce from reality.

I don't think there's a genuinely good situation out there, but the Pats job isn't terrible. It's going to Vrabel though, so might as well not even be inlcluded.

Chicago could be good, but they're the worst team in a great division where no teams look like they're on the way down. And their quarterback wears nail polish.

I pity the fool who gets the New Orleans job. Their years of cap dancing are coming to a head. Their QB has a $50m cap hit and isn't worth it, and they have another $50m in dead cap. Aside from Kool-Aid McKinstry their defense is getting old and their best offensive players are going to be in their 30s. I guess Chris Olave is good, but everyone else will be out of the league in a year or two.

I wouldn't want to go near Jets until Rodgers retires. The new head coach is never going to be in charge. And you get the New York media as well as New York taxes. No thanks!

I don't know that the Raiders is a terrible place to go, but they have a terrible owner and too many needs to be competitive anytime soon. They're also in another hard division.

The Jags have the best roster I think, but their GM and Owner must take turns behind the scenes undermining the team. I don't understand how they suck so bad and so often, particularly playing in the AFC South. This is one that I would run from.

Anyone think New Orleans will take a QB in first round? Jalen Monroe?

I read they are gonna dump their current QB after June 1.

Love for someone to offer us something great to get in front of them for the 8th pick

Like Maybe Tua retires and Miami will want to make a move
Indianapolis is in same situation Tennessee finds themselves. A bad choice in Richardson and what do they do?

Jalen Milroe apparently has a bad tell for passing plays vs running plays that he needs to fix or he's going to have a very short NFL career. I would love for New Orleans to take him.

Unfortunately, this isn't the best year to need a quarterback. Ward is good but not every team is sold on Sanders. It wouldn't surprise me if he's available when we pick.

Our best hope for someone trading up is probably for an OT.

Are the Browns standing fast at HC?

We still need d-line and serious LB’s. I will never complain about drafting an O-linemen, but we need defense, including secondary. If corners and safeties can cover, average can get to the passer.

Defense front 7 has to be our priority

Fix that and the secondary becomes better overnight, maybe not great, but much better
