By the same token, If Chubba hadn't fumbled, Thielen's catch was ruled as one, and XL didn't drop that ball we would be sitting at eight wins.

We don't know what goes on behind closed doors, so it's possible that Evero actually exceeded Canales' expectations. We had a crap defense, but we also had injuries and knew going in that there wasn't a ton of talent. Players could have been missing assignments, or they could have shown development even when the unit as a whole struggled. I'm going to trust in the staff on this one, for now.

I appreciate the optimism but you've been bullish on every staff we've had since you started posting here.

 

I have to be, or that check would be too hard to write. I honestly thought I was going to give up my PSLs this year, and then Bryce balled out.

 

Evero has been a good DC before, but '23 wasn't great and his playcalling this season was bizarrely awful.

 

Looks like we're keeping Evero but getting rid of half his staff. We'll see how that works out.
