McCown on the jets interview list.

Is this gonna be like Garrett where the league just up and hypes a guy that never does anything useful?

Really like your thoughts on Reed and Davis. Also like Sweat and Odeyingbo, and damn we need speed at WR instead of just another “big body” draftee who underwhelms. Picking up those type players in FA would only add to the options for a strong pick at 8.
I know B&B mentioned cutting Shaq loose, with which I agree. Any thoughts on available LB’s (FA) and/or drafting a LB in the FA market? Seems a huge need to me.

There has to be some better, stronger kickers out there to replace Eddy.

I would keep Shaq but try and get a better contract for him. And regarding Eddy, keep him too. Hell, we held on to Kasay for 50 years and he could barely kick past the 30 yard line.

I was glad to see Kasay leave and I'll be happy to see Eddy leave.

Between Mayo and Pierce going one and done more and more owners are following Teppers lead in "fucking up hiring coaches"

Keeping Evero feels like a costly mistake. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

If we can get some talent on that side of the ball he might magically get smarter. Derrick Brown returning is a very good start. What would not surprise me also is the continued development of DJ Johnson. I don't think he will ever be a double digit sack guy but he's gotten better every year. Having Wonnum from day one will also help.

I don't think the defense situation is as bad as a lot of people do. We need a couple of safeties and a reliable edge rusher and good health. With that, we should at least be competitive.

Let's just hope we are as healthy next year as the Falcons were this time.

How rare is the air that a record setting bad department that one is in charge of doesn't get let go? We're not just talking about below league average or jokingly refer to the team as the opposition's get right opponent. Fans keep referring to the wins as if the team made a huge leap from the previous season.
Two of the team's 5 wins came in OT. They had a one point win against the Saints. A three point win against the Giants. The Panthers were an RCH of duplicating their previous 2-15 record. I know they had a couple of one score losses, but the majority were the double digit variety. Most of the losses fell on record setting bad backs of the defense.
I certainly hope that the retaining of Evero pays off, but I'm really surprised he wasn't fired.
