It's just too bad that there was other places these players of this slightly above average quality could have landed. When it comes to enticing players to come to a 2-15 small market team with a recent history of ownership and coaching issues the bank has to be open for business.
Money has to offered and shit deals sometimes have to be made.
Of course we could have stood pat and kept an unhappy Burns on the tag. Paid Luvu what he was worth and pray we hit on the draft.

"The Carolina Panthers made another addition to their defense Friday, signing safety Jordan Fuller.

Terms were not disclosed but a source told ESPN that Fuller received a one-year contract.

Fuller will replace Vonn Bell, who was released Wednesday."

Williams would be another excellent one year trial. Johnson will be great for Young in the intermediate game, but I don't want to see him used in the Mike Evans role.

I'm starting to think the Hunt and Lewis deals were owner influenced, since neither player really fits what Canales wants to do and all of the other moves have been thoughtful, football people moves.

Like the rumors that the mayock gruden raiders did better in the later rounds cause Gruden was bored and the front office got more say.

Yeah, I don't think Tepper tells the GM to sign certain players. It's more like "here's X amount of money/resources I want you to spend to fix this overnight". I guess offensive line is his new fixation now that they're pot committed to QB.

The Steelers seem to be moving on from QB Pickett with Justin Fields. Trying to work some of that mythical Steeler magic.

Mike Tomlin loves staging depressing QB competitions.
