Speaking of blocking, why does every oline and wr block every defender towards the middle on a run up the middle? Either the players are retarded or the scheme / coaching is.

The Panther offense is as unwatchable as I remember since newton was drafted. Talk about regression.

If newton has to hold the ball so long, why are wrs more valuable than oline if they can't block or get open?

Somebody has to wisen up. They've learned nothing since the 2015 sb when it comes to oline importance.

The fact is, the team has to be blown up. Today was proof positive that Rivera simply isnt the man for the job. We all know Shula should be fired, so bitching about that is pointless. The fact Rivera hasn't yet just illustrates that he needs to go. Give the team to Wilks mid season, who himself is an awful DC, but could probably grow into a solid one -- but give him the interim HC gig and start fresh next year.

There are a few position coaches I really like a lot.

But Gettleman's stink being gone, and thank God it is, it's time to just start new. Rebuild the entire thing. Too many critical and unnecessary losses. Norman, Ginn, too many bad first round picks, too many misses in FA....it's just time to start new, and I pray to God it starts Monday with Rivera and Shula's termination.
