Don't trade any picks in this loaded draft class. It was dumb not to tank one more season since if they make the playoffs I think they lose their first rounder to Chicago.

That was a superior ass whipping they put on Dallas last night.

Its kind of hard to want your team to tank for an uncertain future.

They have had a dismal luck record when it comes to draft position.

I say win whatever you can and let the cards fall where they may.

i would agree with you, but since they're kind of where they were at a few year ago before they blew it up and stank their way to a handful of top picks, i'm not sure signing al jefferson was a wise move. might as well have gotten another high pick in there before signing a solid vet. of course, i don't know the bobcats are really in a position to turn away a player of jefferson's caliber.

the cats should end up with portland's 1st rounder (which will be pretty late). they will likely end up with detroit's pick as well, unless detroit slips a bit. they just dumped cheeks and there's talk of making major moves so detroit may end up keeping their pick (it's protected 1-8 this year and protected #1 next year). the cats are right on the cusp. obviously, if they make the playoffs they will draft at 15 or higher, but if they miss the playoffs there's a good chance they'll draft at 10 or lower since there are a number of western conf teams with better records who will miss the playoffs as well.

i know this draft is supposed to be loaded with potentially elite players, but i dunno how deep it's supposed to be. with detroit's mid first and portland's late first, maybe they'll get lucky.

You know its a funny thing about being human. We can die at any minute. Whenever your number is called then its time to go.
So as a human I like winning now and the future is uncertain no matter where you draft or who you choose.
You could get a world beater at #20 or a lazy slob at #5.

The Bobcats are supposedly in trade talks with Philly in a deal that would send Ben Gordon to Philly along with a 1st for Evan Turner. Included is a pretty interesting link showing where all picks in upcoming draft originated. Supposedly he pick is Portland's from the Wallace deal.

Another Mr. Hyde performance. Looking great one game and fairly shitty the next.
Against the Nets they couldn`t hit water from a row boat and when a pro team goes less than 50% from the charity stripe then its either fatigue or heart.

In the NFL I think you do what you can when you have an opportunity to make the postseason, since the NFL playoffs can be wildly unpredictable. NBA playoffs are not.

I wonder how much, if any, will this effect team chemistry?
I think the Cats were in the process of gelling with a productive center and now learning about two new teammates this late in the season might throw a monkey in the wrench.
