    I don't mind it because there's no longer any consideration of sliding him inside for obvious passing situations. Additional quickness and less fatigue should help his performance. Plus, I like that his focus is on going out there and earning a huge contract rather than spending the off-season talking to the media about wanting one. It scares me in that I don't think the Panthers have room to give him what he wants and I don't want the team to lose him for nothing, but Hardy himself appears to be doing everything right.

    Any news on the Cameron kid and does he have a shot at supplanting Pickle at #3? Won the Baugh award and is touted as very efficient. ????

    It's the sort of thing that Hurney would never say. Marty would answer the question something like "well since Cam arrived we've gone from 2-14 to 6-10 to 7-9 so we're obviously getting better".

    He'd also work in the number of returning starters. Hurney was always proud of his ability to retain mediocre players, and the press was always happy to praise him for it.

    I get why he never got blasted for that (or for anything at all) since the media saw him as one of their own, but it's amusing how he kept boasting that while the team was in free fall.

    Plus the local yokels being incompetent idiots. It's not like Sorensen or Fowler made insightful commentary on subjects besides Hurney. I'm guessing they know less about football than the average high school girl.
