    Dude, they're 5th and 6th rounders. They're just comparisons.

Do you realise Barner fumbled 1 time last year in 300 attempts. It wasnt even lost.

I liked the draft, love the Barnes pick... love it! Kid can do a lot of shit, plays so fast, great vision, great use of his blockers.

I would give the draft, based on past performances, what they addressed in FA complimenting the draft, getting Lotu, and the fact they didn't fuck up next years draft... Barnes tips it all to an A+

Agreed. I was always under the impression Hurney was a cap guy that became the Gm. He turned out not having a fucking clue by signing our core guys regardless of the position. At the time having what 2 of the top 7 highest paid rbs is fucking insane. He couldn't judge talent for piss with decent players Leaving here and playing ok elsewhere while over paying players here. As hard as it is to do you have to take a page from the Patriots and cut them when they get to a certain age unless they will play for your price tag

As far as a grade? I'll give them a B. don't understand the late RB pick but I do like the d- line picks, the lb who can play all three slots and hopefully the new guard can contribute

Personally, this is the first time I can remember where I like the looks of all our draft picks. Would be disappointed that we didn't land a WR but can't fault the first two picks in any way. Only disappointment is that we didn't land a safety but a fault that more to us not havng a third. Without a third and not finding a safety or a WR i'd give this draft a B, but having both Star and Short fall to us and liking the looks of the other 3 players, I give it an A.

I think the talent on this team compares or is better than the year we went to the SB. If I recall right, the strengths of that team were the DL, LBs (though Favors was awful), the running game and STs. The weaknesses were CBs, FS, and TE. This year's weaknessess are similar with the exception of TE and SLB (where we should be much better) and the strengths are similar except for FB and STs. STs, QB play, and coaching are the keys for 2014.

Good interview w Barner a year or so ago, talking about being a RB in the read option offense.

But didn't we have a 50 page discussion that WR wasnt a need here in Carolina after the Hixon and Ginn additions. I get that others looking in see a need for CR's and WR's. 2 DTs and a G isnt sexy, I get that. Im not expecting those on the outside to love it.

We had 5 picks, 5. 3 were on D, 2 on O. We got Cam some protection at RG (our biggest need area) and a versatile scatback type. And while ED is from D2, he did actually play RG unlike Amini.

S was a bigger need in the backfield to me, I just dont think it fell for us. Reid, Elam and Cyprien all went before Short.

Dude, stop it. Taking a guy others rated as a 7th round/undrafted free agent who is years away from contributing cannot be equated with getting "Cam some protection at RG."
