    It's a no lose situation for the team. If Cole still has something left, great, he gives us nice depth at DT. If he's done, we cut his fat ass.

    Don't expect him to be much, but I appreciate the outside-the-box thinking. Can't hurt to have him in camp.

    I was thinking he played for Pitt, guess it was those Iowa jerseys I was thinking of.

    Another Ron Edwards? Lessening the need for a DT early in the draft or just seeing if shit sticks?

    I remember good things about him for some reason.

    Go back and watch Gettleman's press conference, I think we can expect similar acquisitions as we proceed. And possibly a couple of one year deals to some higher priced guys who don't get the multi year contracts they want.

    I thought Kearse did ok replacing Edwards last year, plus he's much younger. Cole might replace Edwards on the roster but you don't expect him to be more than a body out there.
