    One of my all time favorites. The player safety rules rendered him pretty useless though.

    I think he did the old, 'one year out of the game thinking he was worth more than teams would pay time to give up' retirement

    Chris Harris put an end to his playing days over the weekend.
    It didn’t take him long to start the next phase of his career. Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune reports that Harris will return to the Bears as part of Marc Trestman’s coaching staff. The former safety will serve as a defensive quality control assistant.
    Harris had two different stints with the Bears as a player, starting his career with the team as a sixth-round pick in 2005 and ended after two seasons when he was traded to the Panthers. The two teams decided to reverse course in 2010 and Harris was dealt back to the Bears, who then released him during the 2011 season.
