    Has anyone had their TV calibrated? ? Im a little skeptical of Best Buy touching my TV.Anyone know of another service?

    Go to avsforums and find the thread about your model. There should be several suggested configurations.

    some asshole on the board loaned me his calibrating dvd and i fucked it all up, so i just reverted back to the defaults

    you can rent the dvds - both brands, from netflix. just add to your queue.

    Most HDTVs provide with conventional options that are designed to look fantastic in store show bedrooms, but more often than not, the conventional presets don't take into account how the TV will look in your home, how far away from it you'll sit, or what the frequent lighting style style in your area will be like when you fire up a new movie or notice the big action.
