    Alabama hasn't played since Thanksgiving weekend. Hope the rematch isn't a dud.

    I know they'll be some bitching, but I'm all for it. I think it'll make the season more interesting. Teams will still need to win and play a schedule that will build their case at the end. Only wish the ACC could get a team back in contention.

    Going from needing to make the top two to only needing to make the top four means teams have far less incentive to play a tough schedule.

    It sounds like 2 of the traditional bowls will be serving as the semi-final sites, and a committee will be picking the 4 teams, as well as seeding them. Championship game will be bidded out to the highest city. The regular-season will be just as important as always.

    Well.... I'm glad college football is going to a playoff, but feel all FBS conferences should be represented with their champions and some at-large teams. This new playoff will still be dominated by computers and writers, but at least the national champion will be determined on the field.
