No I'm almost certain how he performs against a tough schedule is more important than fans and media comparing his stats to Cam's stats.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that trade will be judged by how many games he wins.

I wish, but it's still a runaway for Hurney ever since Al Davis died.

For all his failings, Hurney isn't even the worst GM in Panthers history. I'm pretty sure Dom Capers has that honor solidly locked up for the foreseeable future.

Perhaps a better way to put it is that RG3 will have lofty expectations placed on him because of how well Cam played. His struggles will be amplified by that and the patience of those who gave away the farm to get him will be limited.

Winning games is not the only measure of a QB. If it were then the Broncos would not be looking at Peyton.

This might be the dumbest thing posted on TBR in 2012, which is saying a lot. The Gilbert trade was awful, but pales in comparison to the way that Hurney wasted picks and handed out massive amounts of money. Because of all the other dumb shit he's done, it's easy to forget stuff like giving Jake Delhomme a $42.5 million extension just three months after he had the worst playoff performance in NFL history.

Jake's passion was worth the 42.5 million on its own!:REGamblMoney01HL2:

You might want to brush up on your Panthers history. Capers did more damage in less than 2 years making personnel decisions than Hurney has done in 10. On top of the Gilbert fiasco and it's long term impact (two 1sts and $47million), here's what Capers did with the Panthers 97 and 98 drafts. He get's credit for snagging Minter with a 2nd, but those two drafts are contenders for the two worst in Panthers history...definitely the two worst 1st round picks.

I kinda wonder how much Capers and Hurney have to do with the blunders and how much is on JR.....
