Eh, that's debatable. They really didn't play anyone besides Georgia & TCU. I wish they had been matched up with someone good, but the reality is that bowls care about how well the fans travel.

There's a huge national debate going on right now about every aspect of the BCS. The bowl selection process, the voting particulars, etc., etc. Listening to Mike & Mike this morning, they're calling parts of it corrupt, and attacking various parts of the voting process, particulary the coaches part of it. Alot of coaches & conference leaders are speaking out about the selection process involved with the BCS. I just have to believe that change is coming eventually, probadly pretty soon.

Sure, because it's not like we've had this discussion every winter for the last eight or more years.

Has there ever been this much controversy over the BCS? 2004? I'm gussing if nothing gets changed with this mess, then nothing may ever happen.

This isn't even much controversy. LSU is the undisputed #1 team.

It seems that the BCS is losing alot of support it once had amongst the conferences. ESPN reported this morning , for instance, that the Big 12 was no longer supporting the format. (not a big shocker there, but the Big 12 had always supported the BCS before this year). Supposedly, only 2 of the 6 BCS AQ conferences now support the present format of the BCS.

They shouldn't if Alabama wins. In fact, the coaches shouldn't be obligated to vote for the winner of the title game either. LSU already proved themselves the best team by going undefeated against one of the toughest schedules in recent memory. They're #1 regardless of who wins the title game.
