    Long overdue, though. Winnipeg doesn't belong in the "southeast" division.

    Not scared. Philly and Pitt are pretty scary, but Jersey and Islanders are beatable. Rangers are inconsistent and Washington seems to be trending downward.

    We only need to finish in the top 4 to make the playoffs out of 7 teams.

    The big question is this... will Karmanos open the wallet to bring in more talent now that all of the teams around him are going to be spending closer to the cap ceiling? He claims the realignment will put more butts in the seats. If so, where does he spend the extra cash?

    and the Panthers didnt belong ion the NFC West at first. I like the realignment, hope they reintroduce the old division names for these 4 groups.

    On PTI they were saying the NHL was being forward thinking and not being afraid to move in new directions. Isn't this just Bettman undoing the changes that were made years ago, getting rid of Patrick, Smythe...?
