    Nnamdi Asomugha carted off

Nnamdi Asomugha carted offvick get better
Philadelphia DB Nnamdi Asomugha, one of Philadelphia Eagles' celebrated free agency acquisitions, injured his left knee during practice Thursday and was taken off the field on a cart. The Eagles had no comment on the extent of the injury and a team spokesman said Asomugha's status would be updated on Friday.
Asomugha was participating in a non-contact drill on the grass fields adjacent to the team's NovaCare Complex when he was hurt. The 30-year-old, a three-time Pro Bowl pick and four-time All-Pro selection, leads the Philadelphia Eagles with three interceptions - two in his last four games.
Reuben Frank of CSN Philly reports that testing has confirmed Nnamdi Asomugha avoided a significant injury after being carted off the practice field with a knee ailment on Thursday.Frank acknowledges that Asomugha's Week 12 status is "still up in the air," but it's not a year-ender and "not as bad as it looked." Asomugha may have sprained a ligament, though, which would sideline him for Sunday's clash with the pass-happy New England Patriots. Should Asomugha not be available, Rob Gronkowski's fantasy matchup would improve and Brandon Hughes would start at right cornerback
Asomugha, who spent the 2003 through 2010 seasons with Okaland Raiders before signing a five-year, $60 million contract with the Eagles, has missed just six games in nine seasons.
Meanwhile, quarterback Michael Vick told the team's website that he's feeling "good" despite sitting out practice again. Vick, who is recovering from broken ribs, said he is "getting better."

    James Starks active vs. Lions

    James Starks active vs. Lions
Green Bay Packers RB James Starks has been dealing with knee and ankle injuries this week but he is active for the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Both teams have released their inactives and Starks was the biggest question mark but he is expected to play. We could also see an uptick in carries for RB Ryan Grant.
Starks was active despite being listed as questionable with knee and ankle injuries on Wednesday. Starks was hurt late in last week's win against Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Best is dealing with the effects of a concussion while Detroit Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson was ruled doubtful so we knew he was unlikely to suit up. He is on the inactive list for either team Thursday.
Jahvid Best was previously ruled out for a fifth straight game because of a concussion. And when he is out. Kevin Smith take his place in the starting lineup.
Smith was out of the league three weeks ago, hoping to get another shot to play when his former employer gave him another chance.
The Green Bay Packers won 25-17.

Bills RB Jackson placed on injured reserve

Bills RB Jackson placed on injured reserve
Jackson has been ruled out of a key game against the New York Jets on November 27. Buffalo ruled Jackson out after he suffered an injury to his right knee during a loss to the Miami Dolphins on November 20. Jackson's best season was cut short after he was hurt in Sunday's blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins.
To make matters worse, it seems likely that Jackson could miss time beyond the New York Jets game. The team has not made any official decision beyond the Jets game, but the optimism doesn't seem to be there. Buffalo coach Chan Gailey said the Bills will have to take a wait and see approach regarding Jackson.
The team placed Jackson on injured reserve Wednesday, However, that could change in the next week or so.
Jackson has been one of the best running backs in the NFL in 2011. He has carried the ball 170 times for 934 yards and six touchdowns. He also has 442 yards receiving. He has run for more than 100 yards in six games so far this season. He is the second leading receiver on the team in terms of yards. No other Buffalo Bills running back has more than 21 carries. Without Jackson, the team has to take on a whole new identity.
With Jackson out, the spotlight will be on his backup, second-year running back C.J. Spiller.
