    You still have to wonder what if., What if we didn't get Sanduskied in injuries to 2/3's of our linebackers, and one of the big free agent moves we made at DT

    They would still struggle because Hurney didn't do enough to sign or draft defensive talent in recent seasons, but yeah, that would have helped.

    Look at who's out there. Gamble is the only 1st round pick on the defense, while Martin and Butler are the only 2nd rounders. Nearly everyone on the defensive side of the ball came in the 3rd round or later.
