    The depth of your willingness to delude yourself and restructure reality to protect you from conscious realizations of your own fallibility suggests that you have been deeply mentally and emotionally damaged by such confrontations in the past. You can no longer deal with your mistakes, so your mind pretends that they don't exist.

    I know this is a fishing thread, but if we were to obtain the #1 pick again in 2012, then we should take the super trade that is already being discussed on ESPN.

    Luck=2 #1s and 2 #2s

    That alone would make us a powerhouse for the next 10 years, it's almost worth throwing the season, almost.

    We have already won too many games to get the number one pick again. I doubt the Colts will win a game at all much less two. We should probably just be happy that Cam seems to be a home run with last year's pick.

    If the Colts beat us and then beat the Jags 1 of the 2 time they play them or the Titans, then we get the tie breaker.

    The Vikings already lose the tie breaker with us.

    The Cardinals already lose the tie breaker with us.

    The Rams play Seahawks 2 times and the Cardinals 1 time and should win 1 if not 2 of those games giving them a better record.

    The Dolphins actually have the best chance at losing out. All their remaining games are against teams playing for a playoff spot and I don't see them winning 2 more games, much less 1. Even if they win 1 more, I don't know how that tie breaker would go.

    Anyway, the point is, we could be picking #1 again. We have lost to the Vikings and Arizona, both of which are fighting for the #1 pick. Those 2 loses look really bad now that the season is half way over. Makes me believe the Panthers are not much better overall than they were last year.

    so you're on board with me that Ken Norton is a one-year wonder and the Panthercats would be best served by dealing him and his outrageously poor decision-making abilities and piss-poor attitude for draft picks?

    Nah. I just think we got a shot at winning another #1 pick.
