Our defense wasn't this good under Fox. It's not like Rivera walked in and it fell to shit. We haven't been able to stop the run for a while and had made backup and rookie QBs look like Hall of Famers. We were 2-14 for a reason last year and it wasn't all QB play.

Our offense still needs a lot of work. Cam is making it look better than it is.

When a QB throws 3 int I don't believe that gives a team much of a chance to win. Since newton arrival we have lost our running game, the receivers are turned every which way but loose to try and catch his off target passes. I know everybody wants newton to do go but I remember when everybody was on claussens ass when he was a rookie and the team was losing, so I think newton deserves a little of the blame, after all he is a 20 million dollar QB.

Seriously, I don't get the Rivera hate. If the team still blows like this in a couple of years, then ok. But it's only 6 games in with no offseason, and your defensive QB is out for the year. No one expected it to be pretty. The offense will carry us this year, so fucking what? We knew that coming in. There are some seriously emotional bitches on this board.

Nobody wanted Clausen to go because of the interceptions. It was the lack of TD passes or the ability to sustain drives that hurt him. We had no run game last year. The only reason this team looks in any way able to win a game right now is because of Newton.

I have no confidence in the D right now.
Falcons D made plays, our D didn't, (no sacks, no picks, no fumbles) that's why we lost the game.

I don't think you bitch too much. I think you ARE a bitch. Take a Midol and relax. And do you think the fifth or sixth paragraph of your novel like response is the place to start with the words "in short."

Does Rivera have any passion at all?? He needs to be screaming at the refs, getting in players faces, something. He's starting to remind me of Seifert, except at least Seifert had a couple of Super Bowls under his belt.

We need defense, less penalties, and some fucking turnovers to come our way (see defense). And how about a couple of good kick returns??

    Motherfuckers.

I don't hate Rivera, I want him to be a seriously emotional bitch. Then maybe it would rub off on the players.

yeah, we're not where we could be, and missing on games we should win is getting tired, but I don't get this week - talking about the top pick, hating on the coach - personally.

We could have won but I didn't feel like the mistakes we made - a lot at QB, defense - were flukes or out of the ordinary. I don't think we can coach DT and LB into exceptional units with what's left. I don't know that a 3 pick game is out of the question with any rookie playing behind. It sucks, partly because we left points on the table, but that's a boring fundamentals team, and you have to beat those teams well, you can't give them some bullshit and say it was yours to win.

that's another part I don't really like - whether the coach is frothing at the mouth out of control. There aren't many of those guys that are successful. I'd really be interested to see what Ryan as the hire would've netted - only if we could go back and erase it, and if I had that ability I doubt my first choice to rewind on would be a hypothetical coaching hire that never happened.

    Or did it?!?!
