waived per Steve Reed , another example of Marty at his best waste of a first rd pick

The short time I had with Reed and Person at camp, we all kinda noticed problems with Brown. I can speak for myself: he looked lethargic and didn't have much of a motor, which was his biggest asset (or so some thought).

Collin: How bout that Hurney baby!!! :REDanceBanana001:

Good move. Makes a spot for someone trying to get better. EB's had plenty of time to at least show progress. Yeah, many, including me, thought it was a bad trade/pick from the start.

He's not a very good DE, in any defensive scheme. The idea was "Robert Mathis", but he's not strong enough. Or quick enough, really. Sucks for him, but it's a performance bidnez.

Everette lost his explosion off the snap. I think it was Brian Baker, our former D-line coach who said it 1st.

That's what made him special coming out of college. He's he's short and light, very team in the pre-season ran right at him with success. The guy just could not stop the run and became a huge liability.

Intersting timing. Why not just cut him yerterday? maybe we were waiting for a specific player to get released 1st before we let him go.

I want to applaud Hurney And Ron Rivera. It is not easy to give up on a player whom you trade a 1st rd pick to get a couple of years ago. This is a smart move by the Panthers. I think it safe to say that had John Fox was still the coach in here Evertte Brown would have not been cut.
