    Huh? You think it's coincidence they fired Butch before he had to release his 216 phone records? They knew their whole explanation that Butch knew nothing (which you took hook, line, and sinker) was gone with those 216 phone records. Thus, they fired him and shocker, it's up to Butch to release those now (which, of course, they haven't been released yet). I'm sure the $2.7M is a nice way to keep someone quiet (wonder if the basketball program used the same tutors........hmmmmmm).

    Bingo! Not to mention all the crap we took during the Amato years with the insinuation that he was cheating (David Glenn's 'Where there is smoke there is fire' comment for example). And yes, this idea that UNC-CH would NEVER, EVER cheat. Bunch of crap.

    I agree with this sentiment. I didn't find myself to be glad when Ga Tech got hammered by the NCAA. It doesn't look good for the conference; a conference that hasn't exactly been a powerhouse even with the violations. The same is true for UNC.










    Oh, but I do enjoy every second of Swofford's discomfort over UNC's transgressions. :deal:

    Maybe you can call Thorpe and argue with him with your ridiculous conspiracy theories. Keep living in the fantasy world where UNC athletics is only better than NCSU because we cheat in every sport.

    If it's really that important to you, we can pretend like it's your own, little, personal easter bunny.

    What you call (and have maintained all along are really nothing) conspiracy theories ended as 9 major violations and your head coach and top assistant/agent being fired. The only conspiracy was UNC-CH trying to win at all costs and some of the fans blindly supporting it. So, for the record, why hasn't Butch released the 216 phone number records yet? I'm sure they show he was completely clean in all of this, right?

    Just a reminder as to why the 216 number matters. It was a personal cell phone that Butch was using for school business (meaning it should be available due to public use and that was already decided by the courts). UNC-CH by firing him do not have to turn over the 216 number (unless the courts rule again). Here is the original N&O that mentioned the 216 number that we know was being called by Blake:
