The Drive (WFNZ) vs. Strictly Sports (Foxsports730)

Have you listened to Jim Rome? His clones are great example of national show bozo's. Its not just local.

When I hear a caller driven radio show, that just tells me that the hosts aren't strong enough to carry the show themselves. That, and having a 'list' theme show - i.e. best team you ever saw. Weak programming.

 

I think the national shows have better screeners....and only those callers who support the host's views or those the screener thinks can't hold their own with the host make the cut. A 'tool'.

But I don't like Jim Rome either....or any other 45 year old man that acts like he's still a teenager. So, I'm probably not a good judge of talk show hosts.

 

The signal for 730 is inferioir to 610. Until 730 can match signal they won't surpass 610. No matter how bad 610 is.

 

Right on Meat, Johnny from Effingham and the like have nothing to do with sports. Eventually all they do is cause you to turn the dial.

 

So Foxsports730 will become ESPN730? Bleah !!!!!

If I had to choose between Fox Radio or ESPN Radio, I would take Fox in a second!!!! The only show on ESPN's lineup that I like is Colin Cowherd; I think the Fox shows are more opiniated and they aren't afraid to criticize a sport that the network carries (you think Tony Bruno would dog the NBA if he was still on ESPN Radio?). It seems like ESPN Radio guys don't take as many callers as the Fox Sports lineup does as well . . . .
