A few months ago some national pundit was doing a Panthers pre-draft interview on 610, and he started speculating that we would draft Newton so " we could end the blackout games we've been having " and "since our coach might be on the hot seat this year" , this would "make up for missing on home-town hero Tebow last year".
Seriously, the fucker was blurring us with Jacksonville. Even the morons on 610 were speechless, and let him awkwardly babble on.

Was he allowed to say that on the NFL Network? No. He came on PFT's irrelevant web-show to spew his idiotic nonsense.

I'm not saying we're at the bottom now by any means, but that was done BEFORE last season. 2-14 DOES pull your value down. Then again if Newton can somehow become a franchise QB the team would have a "face" that sells and make the team more valuable than ever.

And if the Newton pick is a complete failure, the Panthers could be a candidate for relocation 5-10 years down the line. By that time, BoA stadium will be one of the older facilities in the NFL.

I believe psl owners get nothing. We "bought the right to buy the tickets annually" with money spent.

I imagine it's addressed somewhere in the PSL agreement.

Just heard on WFNZ. The NFL Network guy is on there and he clarified the situation. Its not that the Panthers are looking to move, but rather, they could be a team that's targeted by the LA group to buy for a move. His reasons are with JR getting older and his sons no longer a part of the business, the possible need for a new stadium in the next 10 or so years, plus it being a smaller market, thePanthers could be a prime team to be targetted if they miss on teams like Minnesota, St. Louis, etc.
