Because you can still play lots on the DL while not being a starter (which Dareus did) while platooning QBs is pretty rare.

This is true and ill even add he would appear to add more flexibility for Rivera than Fairley.

But its not like Dareus didnt have his own issues with an actual NCAA suspension. Havent heard that mentioned either.

Just wondering if he'd be as solid a choice as many seem to think.

    see, these are legit thoughts.

And reasonable criticism of Dareus, though he played a ton the other two years. Stole time from Cody.

God, I hope our backup MLB (whoever he is) never sees the field other than to give Beason a "breather"...

I saw only 2 games and no, I can't give you a specific play. If you were to hold a gun to my head and ask me why I like the guy, I would have to honestly answer that it is his tackling. I just like the way he tackles... The way he wraps and the angles he takes... his technique is solid. Maybe that's not enough to pull the trigger on a backup Mike, but our ST needs all the tackling help it can get, so there's that too.

    Fuck it. Mock this, bitches.

    1. PROJECTED TRADE: Washington Redskins - Cam Newton QB, Auburn

The more I think about this, the more I think the Panthers are smoke-screening it. What seems fishy is that the Panthers aren't even talking about Dareus, which doesn't make sense. On the Redskins side, Shanahan is kicking himself for not trading up with the Rams for Bradford when he wanted to all along (even if Trent Williams looks like an excellent player). Now he sees a nice athletic QB who could run his offense by the end of the first season. Skins give up their #10, #41, and next years first.

    10. Prince Amukamara, CB Nebraska - Went back and forth between this and Julio Jones, but CB is a bigger need, and Prince fills this void well.

    41. Leonard Hankerson, WR Miami - Big play WR, not sure why teams don't have him higher. Panthers would be fortunate indeed to come away with such a physical receiver with excellent hands.

    65. Luke Stocker, TE Tennessee - Part of project "Find a Fucking Offense". Also don't trust Shockey for a NY minute to stay healthy.

    97. Drake Nevis, DT LSU - No way he's still on the board at this point, but I'd hump the lamp if he was.

    98. Jerrell Powe, DT Ole Miss - Two picks to go a long way to shoring up the D middle.

    132. Greg McElroy, QB Alabama - Don't have a great rationale for this one, just feel that he'll beat out either Clausen or Tony Pike and eventually be a very good backup.

    166. Jah Reid, OT Central Florida - He makes this team, and vies for the job at RG

    203. Charlie Sheen, Shitty Comedian, Hollywood - To make the games interesting just in case the offense doesn't improve.

I think it would cost the Skins more than that to get the number 1 pick. Oh and there is no way in hell Mr.Sheen slides that far his intangibles are off the charts.

I think it's the best offer they're going to get. Agree on Mr Sheen.

Connor doesn't suck, but I believe he is the best he will ever be. That far down in the draft, I'd take a flyer on an upgrade over filling another hole that FA could fill. :coffee:
