What coaches "currently on the staff"...

    I like Meeks. I think it would have been great to have hired some offensive genius, next Bill Walsh, type of head coach and bring Meeks back. But I don't think they saw one of those.
    I wonder how well Meeks would take the level of involvement from the HC that Rivera was indicating he'd have. I know Fox was a defensive guy but it sounded like promoting a position coach might work better for Rivera.
    Maybe I'm reading too much into Rivera's comments about playing to his strengths.

    hopefully you are. I don't mind a coach that's involved but I'm generally against any coach being the playcaller on either side, or being the primary coach for any one phase. Being involved, great. But you're responsible for the team, not the defense. Fox had that problem, micromanaging the D but not worrying about making the O any better.

    you don't want to limit other areas because you're too invested in one area, IMO.

    I'm thinking we did a decent job on ST this season, I wouldn't mind if Rodgers was retained.

    I'd bet my house that Rip Scherer is NOT one of those guys that'll be back.

    Scherer better not be a coach in the NFL again. That guy is a disaster.
