    I like Callahan - people on baby Schott's nuts seem to forget that things didn't look competent until BC got in. Really doubt he'd leave, though.

    Most of the prospects are DCs, that's the only problem. I still have no idea - other than buying Bellichick's coordinators - that he's competitive. Past that you've gotta go a long way to figure a new head coach with offensive background that's been successful that isn't also looked at as a fuckup right now.

    there's nothing at all that JR needs to say. People looking for him to talk about this are looking to create some sort of tell-off dialogue. Telling them what they want to hear will make them angry that they were right, anything else won't be believable to them.


    It's entirely possible that JR just took the capless year as a mulligan. No way he thought it was going to be this bad, because some of those moves worked. We dumped a lot of salary we would've last year, had it been a non-prorate year, and next year we're in good shape regardless of whether we make some foolish McNabb type purchase (we won't, and that's fine).
