    He had a good first week of camp, after that not so much.

    I try NOT to be one of those guys who always thinks the guy on the bench is better than the starter, but I want to see more Gettis. Jarrett is not getting it done. Don't know what the Panthers expect to happen there. He is good on slant routes vs. Prevent defenses. That is it.

    Lafell has limited speed, needs work on his blocking, and is injured.

    Gettis led the team in receiving during the preseason (I think) is 6'3" 220 and runs a 4.39 40. If anyone is equipped to take heat off Smitty, it is #12.

    APPARENTLY THE SLOT WR POSITION WILL CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM CHARLY WAS RELEASED BY SEATTLE BUT CLAIMED BY 49ERS SMART TEAMS TRY TO WEEKEN THE COMPETITION AND HELP THEMSELVES WE JUST COACH THEM UP THEN LET THEM LEAVE (SEE PEPPERS AND 'SPOON AND PROBABLY CRACKIN NEXT SEASON)
