It doesnt take a franchise QB to having a winning club. It takes a team. You see you could take a mediocre QB and make them good. Well, not make them good, but make them look good. I have always said that if you have a good Oline, a couple receivers and a good RB you can win a SB without that great of a QB.

My example, Ravens and Trent Dilfer, he didnt have to win the games, all he had to do was not lose them. They won a SB and he is far from a Franchise player.

Since we do not have anyone on the panthers staff that understands the QB position, we'll have to upgrade there before we can expect an upgrade at the QB slot.

in the end, given what we'd have had to do to get Matt Ryan, I'll take Otah and Stewart instead.

I'm all for getting a QB, but I have to agree here....we would have had to mortgage the farm way too much to get Ryan.

I think we can get one for pretty cheap. I saw this today and had to laugh.

    http://www.rr.com/sports/sports/article/2020/7586586/New_York_arena_team_offers_Vick_a_contract

Michael Vick has a place on a minor league football team if he can get reinstated by the NFL.

The Albany Firebirds, an arenafootball2 franchise, have offered the 28-year-old quarterback a one-year contract at the league standard: $200 a week plus a $50 bonus for a win.

Vick quarterbacked the Atlanta Falcons for six seasons before being convicted of bankrolling an interstate dog fighting business.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has not said if he will lift Vick's suspension after he completes a 23-month prison sentence. Vick goes from federal prison to home confinement next month.

The Firebirds' contract offer requires that Vick donate $100,000 to a local humane society.

A call to Vick's agent was not immediately returned.

pickng the right spot, I agree with you. Hell, you'd never know it but I like good quarterback play. But I'm wary of buying the farm.
