I see reports that Josh Freeman is coming to Charlotte for a private workout. He is projected between mid first and early second. Only a Peppers trade would make the Panthers a player in upcoming draft.

I've kinda taken a liking to him as a prospect. I don't buy him as a Culpepper/Leftwich/Russell type behemoth. His footspeed is better. He does have the arm, but not the over-the-top ridiculous arm.

He's just so raw. And who knows where he'll end up developmentally. Starter for almost three years or not, a guy this raw shouldn't have come out early.

It's interesting we're working him out individually, since we don't have a 1 and we're not much of a contender for a QB pick anyway. Does it mean anything? Of course not. We're scouting him, not courting him. Remember that info they gain from this adds to tape study and pro scouting to help us play against him.

I am not sure he would be a good fit here anyway.
