I will try to find the espn article but it was Felton, Mohammad and May to the Mavs for Diop, and Watson coming here. basically said we may lose Felton at the end of the year for nothing, so they may try to get something while hes playing well. the Augustine injury pretty much put the brakes on it ...

Looks like we'll have the best of both worlds....

I liked Matt Carroll, but he wasn't really producing this season.

This deal makes a lot more sense talent wise and maybe can give the Bobs the roster/rotation balance they are looking for, but unless Diop just hasn't been given a really good chance, not sure what he honestly will bring to the team.

Hopefully he can do what the article states even though he hasn't produced much of anything to date.

I'm not sure that expectations of Diop are really all that high. I think they probably just want a big body that can knock around inside for a couple of minutes each night. This trade does mean that Frenchie slides even further down the bench. I don't see why they don't send him down to the D league for a while to get some minutes.

I also think it's interesting that when the season started Adam Morrison was in Brown's doghouse, and now they've traded two of the guys who were ahead of him. I wonder if that's just due to the fact that he has no real trade value, or if Brown likes him more than everyone thinks.

I was very happy when I saw that trade go down. I like Carrol as a person too but he's been playing terribly and has a huge contract. We were lucky to get out from under that, I'd rather have an underachiever like Diop at 7 feet rather than an unathletic 2 guard who is having shooting problems.

Great news that we kept Felton (either to play or potentially get an athletic 2) and good news for Morrison who should now get all the PT he can handle.

I think the uncertainty over Augustin's injury means we're keeping Felton for the season. What they do with him will be an interesting storyline in the offseason.

Yeah that's a good point BUCKO. Augustin has shown to be a little injury-prone so far unfortunately, hopefully this time off brings him back strong for the stretch run. Singletary has been playing well for us too, I'm loving that PHO trade.

Anyone else going to the game tonight?
