Peppers is still one of if not the most athletic DE in the league. His heart is the only question mark for GMs.

He is three years older than Jared Allen. Allen got the 17th, 73rd, and 82nd pick for KC. I would guess the Panthers could get a 1st or high second and some change. DE's like him don't come along very often, so that could really be a mistake to let him go despite his trade value. If you were to take him out, the defense would be much more underwhelming. Even when he decides he doesn't want to play any given week, he still draws a double team.

Haven't teams been overpaying for LTs here lately? Seems to be a ridiculous spiral.

Peppers seems a little hypocritical right now. If it's just about a super bowl win and he doesn't think this team can do it maybe he should show up in big games? Where did he go vs. the cards?

you can call it retarded, but when you go from 13 sacks to 2 back to 14.5 in a contract year GMs will question a guys heart regardless if its correct or not.

Peppers is my favorite player (Williams is getting there) I think it would be a huge mistake to let him go. We could always move Wharton back to LT and Get some fat ass guard in the draft to plug his spot (or swarts or hangarnter) I'm sure a rookie could pick up on false starts where Gross left off.

From what I understand, this is a legal scenario: tag one guy, sign him to the one year tag deal and the next day sign him to a new long term deal. Then, apply the tag to a second guy.

Is it legal to tag a guy, trade him, and then re-apply the tag (to a second guy)?

    [Hurney/: I'll take them...where do I sign?:/Hurney]

I like both doods, but neither are worth the kinda cash they may garner.

I'm pretty sure you can only franchise tag one player per season regardless of whether or not you end up signing them to a long-term deal. It used to be that you could franchise one and transition another, but I'm not sure if they changed that.

My friend tried to tell me you couldn't Franchise tag a player that made the pro-bowl? Wtf.
