I'd say that the "cut, fire, hang" thing is therapeutic. I think the "I'm gonna follow another team and/or sell my PSLs" is probably a good idea, but don't come back next year.



At any rate, I'm on vacation (second fucking time we've collapsed this year while I'm out of town). So hopefully I can get past this awful game and not bother the internet about it, but who knows.

I thought we had a good year. It was fun. I could deal with losing 24-21 and have a chance, but this game was wretched and I hate it for them that they came this far and went out that way. I do think we got here for a reason, and there's a lot of good in this team that a lot of people want to throw away right now, though.

I am going to root for the Steelers now that we are out. Of course I was rooting for a Steelers Panthers superbowl anyway.

I am still pretty happy with our season. If we can find a way to fix our defense next year we should be good again. We have something good on offense with our running game and Steve Smith.

 

I have a feeling that most of the people here would be here bitching just as hard at a 24-21 loss. Hell, there are a few here that I would expect to see bitching here if the Panthers won the Super Bowl 24-21.

 

24-21 you can stomach. You hate and bitch about it but at least the team has a shot and maybe they even played well. That you can take. But the way Saturday night went was about as bad as it gets. It's hard to handle that your team palyed that badly and wasn't even in the game at the end of 30 minutes. Then to see the same dumbass mistakes repeated over and over.. well.. fuck it.

We have a good team to pull for, no doubt. But I hope they don't get fat and happy in the off season because they went 12-4. Tougher schedule coming up, RFA and UFA's to consider (re)signing, the draft and whether the 34 yr old QB is headed downhill a little quicker than they thought. A few asst coaches probably need to be swapped out as well.

Damn it's a long time till September.

One of the most frustrating things about last night is that one player lost the game. Yes, just one. Some people who continuously make excuses for Delhomme try and point to the offensive line or the defense, but that's all idiocy. Jake lost that game single-handedly.

 

Jake was terrible.

Arizona was just fucking better last night.
