Anyone else annoyed at the 'home cooking' comment on CBS?

I actually thought about the steroids thing when I typed that.

Anyway, they most definitely did not notice their mistake before they went to halftime. They watched the play again, and I think Enberg said that 7 seconds had been added to the 'play clock' but the first time they watched the replay they shouted that 'the play clock never started' while watching both the game clock and play clock run down. They watched the play again mostly in silence, but still did not acknowledge there was 7 seconds added and those 7 seconds were the ones that ran down until the fumble. When the Panthers attempted their FG, Fouts even made another underhanded comment about how the points were undeserved.

It wasn't until they came back during halftime that Enberg explained why the extra 7 seconds were added to the clock. Then like Fowler wrote, Fouts and Cross changed the subject without acknowledging the fact that they blasted the Panthers for the last two minutes.

It was just amateurish in my opinion, and I was glad to see someone write about it. Perhaps people expect less from their broadcasters, rightfully so considering the pitiful state of affairs that the job is in, but I expect more. I'll continue to get used to disappointment.

It was annoying and I thought as soon as it happened he owed us an apology. When they came back from the break, they explained what happened, but no apology. I still think he needs to take it back. :two-cents:
