I'm like you, I can't make myself pay $1500 for a guitar but I may try one of the entry level Martins if I can find something around $800.

Anyone have a Dean? I heard they make a great sounding acoustic for around $400.

I have a Gibson j50 Deluxe. Great guitar, but it is not longer manufactured. You could probably pick one up on Ebay for under a grand. Especially if you get one of the later models.

Larrivee 03 is probably gonna be your best bet, though.

I've never played a Dean. Actually I've never heard of a Dean-but I wouldn't because I'm not that well versed on every type of guitar.
I went all over Charlotte/Monroe/University/Huntersville/Monroe looking.

My favorite guitar was at Sam Ash, but was my least favorite place to buy it. Also it was 1700 and no way was I doing that to sit on the porch and play by myself.

I found a sweet little Taylor at a place called Holloway music down 74 toward Monroe as well but.....
I'm holding out for a used Martin, I don't care if it's scratched up.

I don't think you're serious, but that's from "Sling Blade" one of the best movies ever.
