We lost to a very good Vikings team, WE SHOULD HAVE RAN THE SHIT OUT OF STEWART...fuck we are 2-1, We have ATL, KC, and NO, TB Next should be 6-1 or 6-2 before the bye.. It's not the end of the world. But why isn't Stewart starting? or Marshall?

I am as quick to get down on the team as anyone but I am not really doing it now. If we lose to Atlanta next week then I might start to get down on them but I am pretty happy with what I have seen so far.

Maybe Jake and Smitty will be able to get their mojo back next week against a weaker defense than we have played so far this year. All three defenses we have played this year so far have been stout.

Suspend Smitty again and we're golden.

Hell no. Just bench his ass until he is about ready to explode. Then put him in in the 4th quarter.

    Can Goings turn his head?

Blocked punt, Kamikaze sack in three games. . . can ol' Nick Goings still see 'em coming from his right side? After several concussions in past, may be worth exploring.

Yeah, I've always been a goings fan. Kinda down on him now, though.

Hard not to be when he gives up 2 touchdowns.

QB: Jake is obviously rusty, which is not at all his fault, but it's still hurting the team.

RB: Can't really complain about Stewart or DW.

    WR: Or these.

TE: King and Rosario are both committing too many penalties.

OL: Tons of penalties and they couldn't pass block a one-legged grandmother with emphysema.

DL: Kemo is the only DT playing worth a damn, which is something I never thought I'd say.

LB: Not much to complain about here.

DB: Some coverage mistakes, but no more than you'd expect.

Special Teams: Coverage still licks monkey ass. If not for Rhys this would loom large.

Coaching: Awful, awful, awful so far. The offensive play-calling has been schizophrenic, while Trgovac has continued to be too "creative" on defense. Fox doesn't seem to have the players focused, and his whining to the media is ridiculous.

So yeah, there's a lot of reason to be worried. All this shit can get fixed, and some of it I expect to, but unfortunately there's a lot that I'm not really holding out hope for. Even if we go 9-7 and make the playoffs, that's not really satisfying for me. I want the team to play up to its potential and actually feel like a contender, whether or not we end up doing anything in January.
