It was a fantastic catch by Rosario, but we did get lucky.
Check your facts before posting. Montana had already passed for 260 yards and a touchdown (no interceptions) on 27 attempts before that last drive.

If that last pass had been incomplete, do you think people would have been posting about how good Jake was?

    No.
I bitched as much about Delhomme's inaccuracy as anyone, but the fucker came through when he had to. He managed the last drive well, well, except for the timeout deal. Fuck it--he gets a game fuckin ball. As does:

    • Lloyd--holy fuck!
    • Chris Harris--please, just come over and fuck my wife anyday
    • Donte Pimpario
    • Jason Baker
    • O-Line

a QB who throws the game winner is probably in contention for a game ball regardless of what else he does. Certainly, I"d have thought less of him at 220 yards and no TDs than if he'd won the game. It'd not be a game balls thread if there wasn't contention over Jake's game.

and since I missed him first time, yes, every time from here out on this thread I'll mention how awesome Chris Harris is.

The last pass was indeed awesome. It's not like San Diego made a mistake and left someone wide open.

OL, particularly Gross, Kahil, and Vincent - the ones who played the whole game.
Jake - yes, not perfect, but so much better than the past 2 years.
    Rosario
    Williams
Harris, who stripped the ball. Gamble just grabbed it and ran. Gamble gave up a TD.
Wesley, who recovered the muffed punt in the EZ. Would have been a disaster if he didnt get it, and the Chargers were all over the ball.

I'd like to mention some LBs, but the D fell apart in the 4th.
Kasay was clearly very important, but none of the FGs were tough.
I really liked all those touchbacks.

Yep. The OL gave Jake a huge amount of time, and even though it wasnt a perfect pocket, he took it. Previous years he would have rushed it. The play was SO FUN to see.

Can we petition the league to get 4 pts when the kick off goes through the goal posts?
